Sean Corey is a yoga teacher, spiritual seeker, and lifelong student of healthy living through yoga and meditation. With advanced certifications in Hatha yoga and Ayurveda, Sean shares the authentic practices that have transformed his own life, inspiring others to discover their inner strength and peace.He spent five years as a full-time resident at the Himalayan Institute, immersing himself in trainings, retreats, and lectures on yoga, meditation, mantra, tantra, and sacred scripture. When he's not teaching, you'll find Sean exploring nature, designing websites, or chasing the perfect cup of chai.

At the Himalayan Institute, every meal is thoughtfully crafted to nourish both body and mind. The kitchen serves fresh, vegetarian meals designed to provide energy, clarity, and balance throughout your retreat.☀️ Breakfast – Hot cereals, cooked grains, fresh fruit, and homemade yogurt (dairy & non-dairy options).
🥗 Lunch – The heartiest meal, featuring rice, flavorful legumes, seasonal vegetables, and a fresh salad bar.
🌙 Dinner – A light, nourishing meal with soup, salad, a wholesome side dish, and fresh fruit.
Meals are served in a welcoming, community-centered dining space, with optional outdoor seating (weather permitting).

Who is this retreat for?This retreat is for anyone seeking relaxation, personal growth, and connection through yoga, meditation, outdoor activities, and mindfulness practices.Is yoga experience necessary?Yes, you will want to have at least begun a practice of yoga. However, the practices I share, while challenging to each individual, will be accessible to practitioners at every level.Can I bring a partner or friend?Absolutely! If you have a partner or friend who would like to experience this empowering weekend, please choose the booking option for two people. Sharing this transformational retreat with someone close to you is such a gift.What does a typical day look like?You can view a sample daily schedule here. The finalized schedule, with all the details, will be shared as we get closer to the retreat. Expect a balance of movement, meditation, deep conversations, and free time to recharge.Can I consume alcohol or drugs while on this retreat?The Himalayan Institute is a dry campus, and the consumption of alcohol, drugs, or other illicit substances is not permitted. The campus is also meat-free, and the consumption of meat is not allowed during the retreat. Designated smoking areas for cigarettes are available outside the main campus. This policy helps maintain the retreat’s focus on wellness and mindfulness.What types of outdoor activities will we do?We'll enjoy daily nature walks on one of the four groomed hiking trails on campus. On Saturday night, we’ll gather for a cozy bonfire with tasty s’mores under a star-filled sky. There’s also a beautiful pond on campus available for a refreshing swim.Where is the retreat located?The retreat takes place on the picturesque 400-acre campus of the Himalayan Institute, nestled in the serene Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. For over fifty years, the Himalayan Institute has been a sanctuary for those seeking inspiration, personal growth, and inner balance.What type of yoga will we practice?Our sessions will primarily focus on Hatha Yoga, deeply rooted in the wisdom of the Himalayan Tradition. You’ll experience a blend of mindful movement, meditation, and restorative practices to support relaxation and renewal. Additionally, we’ll incorporate fitness-style movements aimed at building strength, enhancing vitality, and helping you move beyond physical and mental blocks.What should I bring with me?Comfortable clothing, a yoga mat, suitable footwear for walking/hiking, and an open mind! A detailed packing list will be provided upon registration.What's the Cancellation Policy?You can cancel up to 7 days before the retreat for a full refund, minus the $200 non-refundable deposit and a $50 administrative fee from the Himalayan Institute.Can I connect with your teachings before the retreat?Absolutely! I offer live yoga and meditation classes on Insight Timer and a library of pre-recorded practices on Patreon. I’d love for you to join in and start your practice with me before we meet in person!
