Sean Corey is a yoga teacher, spiritual seeker, and lifelong student of healthy living through yoga and meditation. With advanced certifications in Hatha yoga and Ayurveda, Sean shares the authentic practices that have transformed his own life, inspiring others to discover their inner strength and peace.He spent five years as a full-time resident at the Himalayan Institute, immersing himself in trainings, retreats, and lectures on yoga, meditation, mantra, tantra, and sacred scripture. When he's not teaching, you'll find Sean swimming in the ocean, designing websites, or exploring the lovely Vietnamese culture where he now resides.

However, the practices I share, while challenging to each individual, will be accessible to practitioners at every level.Can I bring a partner or friend?Absolutely! If you have a partner or friend who would like to experience this empowering weekend, please choose the booking option for two people. Sharing this transformational retreat with someone close to you is such a gift.What does a typical day look like?You can view a sample daily schedule here. The finalized schedule will be shared as we get closer to the retreat. Expect a balance of movement, meditation, deep conversations, and free time to recharge. (Note: every session is 100% optional).Can I consume alcohol or drugs while on this retreat?The Himalayan Institute is a dry campus, and the consumption of alcohol, drugs, or other illicit substances is not permitted. The campus is also meat-free, and the consumption of meat is not allowed during the retreat. Designated smoking areas for cigarettes are available outside the main campus. This policy helps maintain the retreat’s focus on wellness and mindfulness.What types of outdoor activities will we do?We'll enjoy a guided nature hike to a local waterfall. On Saturday evening, we’ll gather for a bonfire and ceremonial life celebration with music and chanting. There’s also a beautiful swimming pond, hiking trails, and walking paths available to you.Where is the retreat located?The retreat takes place on the picturesque 400-acre campus of the Himalayan Institute, nestled in the serene Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. You’ll experience a blend of mindful movement, meditation, and restorative practices to support relaxation and renewal. Additionally, we’ll incorporate fitness-style movements aimed at building strength, enhancing vitality, and helping you move beyond physical and mental blocks.What should I bring with me?Comfortable clothing, a yoga mat, suitable footwear for walking/hiking, and an open mind!
